Global Climate Change Series

What is Global Climate Change? That question has been at the center of international debate and answers just keep coming. With so many voices and opinions , how can you get a grip on the issue?

Here's one way: To help the public better understand the issue of climate change, The Weather Notebook has launched a weekly radio program on this environmental and social topic with support from the New England Science Center Collaborative.

The year-long series, aired in most markets on Tuesdays, features interviews with many experts to explore current climate research, notable changes in our landscapes, and possible mitigation strategies we can adopt to reduce the impacts of climate change.

Join us Tuesdays for an in-depth and informative look at Global Climate Change and its effect on our society, right here on The Weather Notebook.

Series Underwriters

The New England Science Center Collaborative serves as underwriter for our special series on Global Climate Change. The Collaborative was established to examine the widely recognized, but little understood issue of climate change.

Recognizing the disparity between the public's impressions of "global warming" and the science of climate change, research scientists, environmental groups, and informal science educators formed the Collaborative as a partnership to educate the public about the possible effects of climate change on the communities and ecosystems of New England, and to help bridge the gap between the scientific community and the public-at-large.

The Collaborative's underwriting of the special series of The Weather Notebook is one example of their efforts in this regard.
