Hispanic Radio Network
Hispanic Radio Network is one of the largest producers and syndicators of Spanish Language educational radio programs in the world. Hispanic Radio Network produces daily national and international broadcast shows that focus on education, health, science, technology, the environment and social justice.
Hispanic Radio Network informs Hispanics about health, environment, education, social justice, information and resources, via nine Spanish language radio programs broadcast throughout the USA on more than 100 popular Spanish language radio stations.
Hispanic Radio Network radio programs include: Bienvenidos a America, Mundo 2000, Sexo y Algo Mas, Buscando el Bienestar, Planeta Azul, Consuelo Comenta, Camino al Exito, Fuente de Salud, and Saber es Poder. Hispanic Radio Network inspires and motivates listeners by airing interviews with Hispanic role models in health, education, science, the environment, and social justice. Hispanic Radio Network, in collaboration with the Self Reliance Foundation, links listeners to local resources in their own communities.
The Weather Notebook has partnered with Hispanic Radio Network, thanks in part to project funding provided by the National Science Foundation. The Weather Notebook provides radio scripts and associated research materials to Hispanic Radio Network staff, who in turn produce related modules for their radio programming. The resultant radio programs are not translations of the original scripts, but rather are independent works which are designed to meet the specific interests and needs of Hispanic Radio Network's listeners. The original The Weather Notebook programs are given a new life, which meets the format requirements of Hispanic Radio Network programming and which enhances the science understanding of its communities.
