The art and tradition of cutting ice, or ice farming is alive and well at Stonewall Farm in Keene New Hampshire. Stonewall is a combination working farm and environmental education center where the focus is outdoor hands on learning.

   
   Phil explains to Dave the different layers in a cake of ice.
Ice harvesting involves cutting blocks of ice, floating them to shore, sliding them along boards and stacking them neatly in a pile.
