In the final installment of our conversation with the hosts of NPR's Car Talk, Tom and Ray Magliozzi explain what you might want to stash in your car for emergencies this winter.

Clack: And some beef jerky. You'd be surprised how far beef jerky can go.

BY: Is moose jerky OK?

Clack: Moose jerky is good. Actually, they make beef jerky, moose jerky, venison jerky, and hurky jerky.

Click: How about Turkey Jerky?

Clack: They make Turkey Jerky too.

Click: They do? It's the only one that rhymes. Now I see that we've be very helpful to you Bryan, what else can we tell you about?

BY: Is there anything that you'd recommend that folks put in their car like extra warm clothes or a sleeping bag?

Clack: Well yeah, a blankets good. Sand is good.

Click: If you go to our website, which is the Car Talk section of Cars.com we have a whole list of winter driving tips and what you should have in your car. We got things like a shovel and some sand and one of those....oh, what do they call those spaceblanket things?

Clack: Spaceblankets.

Click: Spaceblankets, that's what they call 'em.

Clack: We have a flare gun, a flame thrower, and a moose to pull the car.

Click: And a VCR

Clack: It would be a good idea to keep some sand in your car. Don't use kitty litter. Kitty litter doesn't work it just makes it more slippery and it attracts cats.

Click: Who don't have good intentions.

Clack: No. But, a shovel is good and if you're really in an area where you think you're gonna encounter abrupt changes in the weather, chains and the knowledge of how to install them.
